Q2. How does a fluorescent tube work?
The walls inside the fluorescent tube are covered with a mixture of Magnesium Tungsten and Zinc Beryllium Silicate. Due to the discharge of electricity, ultraviolet rays are generated in this drain. When exposed to these rays, Magnesium Tungsten glows a pale blue and Zinc Beryllium Silicate produces a yellow-orange glow. The mixture of light of these two colors produces the fluorescence of white light. Different types of paints are used inside the drain, which generate light of different colors. Ultraviolet rays are invisible which collide with the paint to produce visible light.
